Susu’s Spaghetti Sauce

My mom, Susan aka “SuSu”, is infamous for making the most amazing spaghetti sauce. Here’s her recipe. This feeds our large extended family so you might have leftovers to freeze.

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 15 oz. can of tomato sauce
1 6 oz. can of tomato paste
1 15 oz. can of stewed tomatoes Italian recipe
1/2 medium sized onion, diced
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
Garlic powder/Italian seasoning/Salt/Pepper to taste

Directions
Saute the diced onion and pepper for a couple of minutes in olive oil, add ground beef until cooked through and strain.

Add mixture back into the pot with the remaining ingredients.

Season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. Bring sauce to boil, reduce to simmer and cover. Let cook for at least 2 hours on low but the longer the better! Serve over fresh pasta.
